Rules and regulations
\n<\/center><\/p>\n
The annual competition \u201cScience and Youth – 2026\u201d will take place on 17-18 of April 2026 in the Auditorium Complex of MU \u2013 Plovdiv under the auspices of the Rector of Medical University \u2013 Plovdiv. Official languages are Bulgarian and English. All participants submit an abstract in English using the Bulgarian or English language registration form. Submission is available only online, on the website of the Youth Scientific Association \u2018Asclepius\u2019\u2013 www.ascleipus.bg (https:\/\/asclepius.bg\/cnm\/registration-en\/<\/a> for English language or https:\/\/asclepius.bg\/cnm\/registration-bg\/<\/a> for Bulgarian language) with deadline \u2013 31.01.2026<\/em>.<\/strong> Each participant can declare in advance his preferred form of presentation. During the process of the scientific selection and evaluation of the abstracts, the form of the presentation could be changed following the decision of the Scientific Jury. The number of scientific works that each participant submits (independently or in co-authorship) can be no more than 3 irrespective of the form of the presentation. The maximum number of co-authors in one scientific work is 5.<\/p>\n The forms of presenting the scientific works include: oral presentation and poster.<\/strong> Participation fees<\/strong> All registered participants pay a fee by bank transfer. An invoice can be requested up to 5 days from the date of the bank transfer. For those who wish to receive an invoice, please send information to asclepius@mu-plovdiv.bg. Please, indicate as reason for the payment: \u201cScience and Youth 2026\u201d.<\/p>\n Instructions for authors<\/strong> Requirements for oral presentation:<\/strong> 2.\tPosters:<\/strong> Posters should be 70\/100 cm in size, well designed and with a large enough font size. In this form of presentation, emphasis should be placed on the results and conclusions of the study with a focus on the visual presentation of the information.<\/p>\n The best scientific works in each session will be awarded and the authors will receive a certificate from the Rector of MU-Plovdiv.<\/p>\n Requirements for publication of the full text materials <\/strong><\/p>\n Each abstract, approved for participation in the „Science and Youth“ Conference provides its authors with the right to publish a full-text article. All conference materials (abstracts and full-text articles) are published in English. Original articles: up to 6 pages<\/strong><\/strong> (including tables, figures and the accompanying text). Maximum number of references in the bibliography is 20. Mandatory structure: Introduction, Aim, Material and methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion.<\/p>\n Reviews:<\/strong> up to 8 pages<\/strong> (including tables, figures and the accompanying text). Maximum number of references in the bibliography is 35. Mandatory structure: Introduction, Aim, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion.<\/p>\n Case reports:<\/strong> up to 4 pages<\/strong> (including tables, figures and the accompanying text). If photographs are used, the authors undertake to ensure that the identity of the reported patient will not be revealed! Maximum number of references in the bibliography is 15. \nUndergraduates, PhD students and young researchers under the age of 45 can participate in the competition. Academic teachers that are above that age can be included only as scientific supervisors (mentors), but cannot present at the Conference and their name should appear last in the authors\u2019 list. If this requirement is not taken into consideration the corresponding scientific work will not be registered.<\/strong> The candidates can participate in the event presenting original materials as well as reviews or case reports both in Bulgarian and English language. Students should be supervised by a certified specialist (mentor) in the relevant scientific field.<\/p>\n

\nAbstract submission for the Science and Youth Conference
\nThe abstract should be limited to 250 words. Abbreviations in the title and in the abstract should be avoided. Abstracts should be written according to the following structure: Introduction, Aim, Materials and methods, Results and discussion, Conclusion. The abstract should be written in third person and should not contain figures or citations. At the same time, the abstract should present a well-written and comprehensive summary of the article. Between 2 and 5 key words (phrases) are added at the end of the abstract. Abstracts must be submitted in English. The authors indicate a preferred form of presentation. The organizers reserve the right to change it if necessary.<\/p>\n
\nPresentations and e-posters can be presented in Bulgarian or English
\n1.\tOral presentations:<\/strong> the duration of the presentation is 7 minutes and not more than 12 slides. The presentations must be informative and well-organized, following the general rules (not more than 8-10 lines of text on each slide, large enough font to be visible, not more than 2-3 font colors in the same slide). It is recommended to use the uploaded templates. <\/p>\n

\n\u2022\tThe authors are entirely responsible for the authenticity of the information they provide as well as for the style and punctuation of the script.
\n\u2022\tThe participants must provide the following contact information after the article: address, telephone number and e-mail.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022\tFile extension: *.doc or *.docx (MS Word 97-2003 or MS Word 2010);
\n\u2022\tFont: Times New Roman or Calibri \u2013 12 pt;
\n\u2022\tMargins: top\/bottom \u2013 2.5 cm; left\/right 3.15 cm;
\n\u2022\tLine spacing: 1.5 lines
\n\u2022\tThe headline is not capitalized. Name and surname of the authors, affiliation (clinic\/department, faculty, university, town) are indicated under the headline without abbreviations and titles
